Problem
In 2009, an entrepreneur had the idea to turn shipping containers into hospitality venues. The concept was to transform these logistical workhorses into cool, mobile environments where people could congregate. He had determination, and even a prototype, but there was no traditional advertising budget.
Solution
After creating the Boxman Studios brand, we got to work using the website to introduce the concept, and employed social media to help spread the word. Over the years we created relevant, authentic content on the site to help tell the Boxman story, and social media to distribute this content, engage fans, and discover prospects. It worked.
Result
The company exploded with growth during its first four years, and the closest we ever came to employing a traditional marketing and adverting approach was when we took out a full-page ad in a national trade pub. Oh, and the ad had zero effect.
Thanks to this sustainable approach to marketing, in 2013 Boxman was named the fastest growing company in Charlotte. And in 2014, it was recognized as the #120 fastest growing company in America by Inc. Magazine, with more than 3,000% growth from 2010-2013.
And we did it through SEO-compliant digital content, relevant and authentic storytelling, and smart distribution. The fact that 90% of our sales from 2009-2014 were inbound is icing on the cake.
